Safety Direct's Confined Space Entry and Rescue Equipment Systems provide unique rescue solutions for the three main types of confined space rescue. The three main types of confined space rescues are self-rescue, non-entry rescue, and entry rescue. In a self-rescue the worker exits the confined space on their own. A non-entry rescue has the rescuers attempting to extricate the trapped person without having anyone else enter the confined space. An entry rescue has one or more persons enter a confined space and a winch and harness are used to extricate the victim and rescuer.
